I normally (correctly)assume that my Amazon purchases are getting me the latest available edition of books, etc., and that is usually the case. In this case, however, I learned after installing the product that there is a version 9.0 of this product. I registered my version 8 product but received no offer for free upgrade to version 9.0. I believe that this is a good product, but I would recommend investing your money towards the newer version. ...more

It makes staying in the moment as I write a cinch - something that is often challenging since it is so very easy for a writer (at least this writer) to give way to distractions. I've used Final Draft and have found it to be "clumsy" and somewhat difficult to use in addition to not having enough features (and more expensive than Movie Magic). Movie Magic has everything you would ever want in a screenwriting AND novel-writing software program. I just bought this newer version and it's excellent. It's much easier to use than the prior version and it's very easy to write a novel or screenplay with NO WORK (other than your imagination).
