Runs a little warm but Iomega Tech Svcs said it was normal. The drive comes clean without any formatting...so you have to "initialize" the drive first. WinXP "disk management" [diskmgmt.msc] has everything you need to do this process before formatting to NTSC. Remember, you are going to lose 7.1% [35GB] of storage space after format. So the usable storage space in this case will be 465GB or 93%. Oh yes, there is no ON/OFF switch for USB/Firewire and DC operation. ...more
